What a week it’s been. The past seven days have been up there with our most tech filled of the year. The time has whizzed by. Missed anything? We don’t blame you. That’s why we’ve compiled some of the week’s biggest stories right here. So grab a comfy chair and tuck right in to see what you’ve missed.

This week has seen a rewarding end to some of the year’s hottest gadget rumours. We finally got to see the new iPod Touch, and yes, it has free FaceTime video calls. Also launched was the new iPod nano and Shuffle. But Apple weren’t the only big boys with big news. Nokia leaked the N8’s release date, Samsung launched it’s Galaxy Tab and Sony showed off its first 3D VAIO. There’s much more too. Read on to catch up.

New iPod Touch revealed: FaceTime, Retina Display added!
Another of Apple’s badly kept secrets was finally revealed – the new iPod Touch boasting free FaceTime video chat over Wi-Fi, the gorgeous Retina Display found on the iPhone 4 and a sleeker (slightly) design over the previous generation iPod Touch.

New iPod Shuffle brings back the buttons
And the trusty click wheel! It comes in just one capacity (2GB) and go back to the tiny form factor it once had. A built-in clip makes it a handy little music player for gym types. It’s up for pre-order now, for £39.

Nokia N8 arriving 23rd September
Nokia fans have been waiting long enough now for the Symbian^3 device, now it finally has a release date. Nokia N8 will be available exclusively online at Nokia Online from 23rd September, according to this leak, which looks a safe bet.

iPod nano gets refreshed, gets multitouch touchscreen
The iPod nano was given a major refresh this week. It now has a multitouch touchscreen. It’s square shaped too. Read more about it at the above link.

Samsung YP-Q3 iPod nano alternative
The iPod range is absurdly popular, but if you’re looking for something different from the crowd, Samsung launched its new YP-Q3 MP3 player with support for H.264 or XviD videos, OGG and MP3 songs. It also has an FM radio tuner.

PlayStation Move reviewed
Reviews man, Ben Sillis got his groove with the PlayStation Move to give Sony’s foray into motion control a hearty thumbs up, despite a weak selection of Move-exclusive titles. See why, here.

iOS 4.2 for iPad brings wireless photos, video and printing
The iPad will be getting its own dose of multitasking this November, along with wireless printing and a new feature called Airplay – a rebranding of AirTunes letting you stream photos and videos to it.

Xbox 360 gets a new controller
No, not Microsoft Kinect, a new control pad. It brings with it same coloured buttons, a grey shell and a redesigned D-pad. It’s not out in the UK till February.

New Apple TV goes rental only
The new Apple TV will sell in the UK for £99, full rentals are on the way, but we’re still waiting for TV shows. Read more about it here.

Sony launches first 3D VAIO laptop
It will be arriving next spring, will use active shutter glasses and be available in just one size, most likely a 16-inch model.

Samsung Galaxy Tab goes official
The Samsung Galaxy Tab went official on us. It’s a 7-inch tablet with Android 2.2, 16 or 32GB of storage and a front facing camera for video chats to rival the Apple iPad for mainstream popularity. It’ll release around September, or October.
