Umbrella Is High On Grass!

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 03:09 AM PDT

How I love the double-meaning to this title, but sadly (err, debatable!) the grass referred to here is the sober green variety that grows in your backyard. Awesome idea displayed with the Green Trace project! A flat umbrella stand comes fitted with mesh and some pre-sowed seeds; lean wet umbrellas as suggested and let the water drip down to water em greens. Easy in a jiffy get indoors grass; a green patch out of nowhere! How very organically-kitsch!

Let Me Count Your Money, Honey!

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 02:51 AM PDT

So much cash stashed at home that fingers get tired while counting! Who wouldn't want to live that life! The truth is that small business and maybe some households do have that kind of money, and the big counting machines currently available are inconvenient. So the solution lies in a compact Counting Ring, a simplified money counting machine. It packs in features like LED Display & Power Switch, Sheet-Separating Veins, Battery Slot and Infrared Ray Scanning. Slip it on the thumb and you're set. My only worry would be a bundle of soiled and crumpled notes, however overall for a majority of cash-stash, this should do.

Teeth for your Tea Drinking

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 12:03 AM PDT

If you’re anything like me, you’re sad that it is no longer Halloween (unless, when you’re reading this, it is again Halloween, then hooray!) So you must find all sorts of amazingly strange ways to make it your favorite day of darkness all year long. Here is one of those things. It’s a teeth mug. You can buy it, you should buy it, it’s weird, it’s wonderful. Also it’s for coffee, but if you’re already this far, might as well fill it with something nastier.

You can feel free to drink out of the smooth side or flip it around to drink through the realistic gaps in the human-like teeth on the other side. Either way, people will be puking with pleasure to see you sip.

Vac for the Future

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 12:03 AM PDT

During the summer of 2010, organizations expressing concern for the environment around the world headed out to the ocean to collect marine debris. Once they had a bunch, the sent it (I’m assuming in a zip-lock bag) to appliance mater Electrolux to see what they could do with it. Basically, Electrolux took out the mould and got moulding. With this debris, Electrolux created “Vacs from the Sea.”

Each model vacuum you see here is obviously unique, having been made from debris cleaned out of the sea in an effort not only to make the sea a cleaner place to be, but also to create awareness for the world. Awareness for everyone to see how terribly polluted the vast wakes of water are, but if you ask me, awareness for everyone to see how AWESOME that stuff is and how they should drive their boats out there and get it. Colors!

Multiple Indubitable Perceptions

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 12:02 AM PDT

Here’s a clock to add to your collection of oddest clocks of all time. This is the Parallel of Time clock and it’s a concept reflecting off the idea that although the speed of time is indubitable (the designer used this word, and I love it, so I will keep using it forever,) the perception everyone has of it is different. Time is perceived. Here is a strange clock.

Using multiple clocks and cables to create an number of parallelograms, there is a design of a clock. Each parallelogram is interconnected, creating an illusion, an axonometric (three dimensional but without perspective) timepiece.

This clock works because the hands on every clock (in the same time zone) produce the same angle. Thus, the lengths of the cables which connect them remain constant, and there is no crash. Additionally, the hour hands and minute hands are positioned on either side of the glass to further prevent collisions.
