Pavement Pressure For Your Cycle

Posted: 12 Nov 2010 04:14 AM PST

We don't have an organized cycle-riding system here in Mumbai, but I'm sure cities like Amsterdam and Beijing will appreciate the Air Station on their pavements, where cyclists rule the roads! The station is a unique approach at providing an air pump at steady intervals, much like the gas stations for cars. The difference of course is that the Air Station is fitted into the pavement (as explained in the video) for easy access. Hook up the bike and pedal-push some air! Nice!

Drop Of Fresh Air

Posted: 12 Nov 2010 03:20 AM PST

The awesome Air Sphere breaks from the conventional norm of fans being these blade-and-industrial-looking objects. The sophisticated drop-shape exudes elegance and becomes the focus of attention, despite its oblivious approach. It functions as an electric fan in the summer, and as an air circulator in the winter. The compact sphere (with a diameter of 300 millimeters) is small enough to fit in any room, but make no mistake about its power to please!

This Design will KILL YOU

Posted: 12 Nov 2010 12:05 AM PST

This machine has an AMAZING NAME. It is designed by Chris Rogers and it goes by the name “Mega Hurtz Tactical Robot.” It can turn on a dime, you control it by remote and can use it in tangent with a virtual reality headset, and yes, it can tow a Hummer. This machine can smash through a concrete wall, fire 20 pepperballs per second with its installed turret mounted non-lethal automatic weapon, and weighs around 280 pounds. This machine can totally do anything you want, including running right over your foot!

The weapon you see on top of this machine might be non-lethal now, but once this child of potential death is seen by the US army, military, airforce, navy, secret service, not-so-secret service, and magic devision, you’re going to see some serious flesh ripping.

That weapon installed NOW on the vehicle is a 20RPS Modified Mil-Sim Paintball Gun/Assault Rifle with a Wireless Infra-Red Night Vision Barrel-Mounted Camera, connected to a remotely controlled Pan/Tilt Turret. It rocks. Below that are 14 inch Bar-Lug Trencher tires attached to a fulltime 4-wheel-drive system with rugged high-torque electric motors. It’s a beast. A complete beast.

This project is aimed at Law Enforcement SWAT Teams, Search and Rescue, First Responders, and Security Companies “to take personnel out of the line of fire and out of harms way.” Very neat. Anyone see the cartoon series Gundam Wing? They explore a future (for a while during the series) where war is fought using remotely controlled air-fighters. Turns out humans can beat them, just so long as their bots are faster. How about that?

Pour Me a Glass of Coin

Posted: 12 Nov 2010 12:03 AM PST

This is the Teapot Coin Bank, and it’s definitely not the LEAST strange bank I’ve seen all day. Heck, it’s not the least strange bank I’ve seen the entire course of my life. I’ve seen more normal banks to be sure. But I have not seen a more excellent bank today. This bank allows you to insert coins through its top, then when you need a few back, just pour them out through the spout. The spout is big enough to let you have just a few at a time (just enough for some ice cream.)

This lovely bank is made out of ceramic, and the concept basically couldn’t be simpler, even if the bank was shaped like a piggy. In fact, I think this concept IS simpler than a piggy bank. Come to think of it, piggy banks are really strange – much stranger than this teapot, both are equally as cute.

Dimensions: 6.3″ L x 4.7″ W x 4.3″ H

BFF Watches for Overseas Lovers

Posted: 12 Nov 2010 12:03 AM PST

You know the sacred bond that is made when two people hold separate parts of a heart. They are Best Friends Forever. Or married. Whichever it happens to be, here’s a watch for them. This is “Dual Time,” a unisex GMT wristwatch with a unique feature: complimentary hour hands. Where normally three hands would mean hour, minute, and second, here they mean second, your hour, and your friend’s hour.

See the two thicker arms? One is for you, and one is for the hour that your friend is experiencing in a different time zone. The fun thing that happens is the change that happens once you and your friend reunite: the complimentary hands fit inside one another, creating a full, single hand of pure love!

Also there’s a day/night mark indicated by that single circle at the top middle of the watch. Black or white, you decide which is which.
