So basically you can display a lot more books up front and provide space for readers to browse though the collection. I think it will work well in schools and maybe at book exhibitions and stalls. Posted: 25 Nov 2010 03:49 AM PST Document Extractor – Combi Monitor is a screen that doubles up as a printer as well. Why? Because you need precious space on your desk to put other stuff! You need to have cool tech devices that put stacks of printer paper hidden away from view! You need to boast of uber cool monitors just cause you don't own a 27" iMac! That's why! Posted: 25 Nov 2010 12:09 AM PST Holy cheese anyone? This is a cup with holes in it. What’s the use? Well it keeps your hands cool when you pour in a hot drink, for one. But wait! Won’t the hot drink sploosh out the sides when poured in the top? No way! Know why? Because there’s two layers. The outer layer has holes, the inner layer contains the liquid. Sound good? Sounds super fancy! Sounds great! Oh Makiko Nakamura, you are a designer of some excellent intent. Not only does one pay more attention to the container one is drinking out of when they’re drinking out of this, they’ve got a completely functional hand protector on their hands. If your drink is super hot or if your drink is super cool, doesn’t matter! Your hands will be safe. Rockin! Designer: Makiko Nakamura ---------- |
Posted: 25 Nov 2010 12:03 AM PST Look at that! It’s a clever bag for carrying home all your newly purchase clothing you got this excellent shopping season. It’s an upside-down hanger, it looks nice, it’s got some great color to it. But what’s this? Is this… yes! It’s detachable, and I can use it to hang my clothing up! What a good little bag you’ve been. I will not recycle you. Have fun, use your products always! Add this to your file of “best packages basically ever.” This project goes by the name “Get the Hang of It” and it’s designed by DEDE DextrousDesign. You’ll see a couple more designs by the same people in the future (or if this post has been up for some time, in the past!) Carry me home, cleverly designed bag, carry me all the way home. Posted: 25 Nov 2010 12:03 AM PST Wait for it… it’s a coat! Wait for it… it’s a sack! There’s almost nothing I like better than a good transformer when it comes to industrial design. You know I love it when one item adds something simple and gains a whole new level of usefulness. It’s a whole new world when two items combine into one – case in point: “Wear Me Bag” by Rotem Lewinsohn, a lovely fashion accessory that can convert into a carrier. Then, as it gets hotter during the day, the additional layers of clothing you take off can go IN to the bag. How convenient! The idea for this piece of neatness came when Lewinsohn was in the grocery store, deciding what method could be used to gather then transport all that food – a heavy cart, or an environmentally unfriendly nylon bag? Turns out there was a third option – a brand new option that Lewinsohn would design! Wear Me Bag to the rescue! Designers: Rotem Lewinsohn ---------- |
