Video of the week: The evolution of mobile

You don’t need us to tell you that mobile phones have come a long way from the breeze block-like walkie-talkie-resembling devices of yesteryear to the do-everything smartphones of today. Instead we’ll let this amazing retro-inspired video do the talking, as it charts the evolution of mobile, from the humble DynaTAC, all the way up to modern smartphones of the present, using incredible computer-generated visual effects.

Appearing in the video are Nokia handsets of old, a BlackBerry and even the famous Snake game that had everyone addicted back in the 90s. Do watch out for a certain mascot at the end too.

We can’t help but feel there’s one handset missing. Have a guess which one.
