Video of the week: The future of online shopping

Posted: 17 Apr 2011 01:00 AM PDT

What does the future of online shopping hold? Mobile network Three may have found the answer, after unveiling a new live video customer service that, quite frankly looks like something out of Minority Report.

Called the Three Liveshop, the new technology is just a concept for now but nevertheless remains mightily impressive. Liveshop relies on a custom-built multi-touch screen that lets Three staff quickly and effortlessly advise its customers on troubleshooting and purchasing queries with all the information they need constantly at their fingertips.

The only major drawback is that you’ll have to face customer service face-to-face. It’s not one for shy types. And if random-based video chat service, Chatroullete has taught us anything, it’s that naked folk like the internet.
