| DYZPlastic Hints at Next Android Toy Series for Summer 2011 Posted: 24 Jun 2011 10:57 AM PDT We know them and we LOVE them, the Android toy series from DYZPlastic and artist Andrew Bell – you see them every freaking day here on Android Community as we use them for our product reviews and more – plus we’ve got a custom Angry Android running around here too! Thusly whenever we get news that our pals at DYZPlastic are releasing new models, well, we get pretty pumped up. Todays revelation comes in the form of a graphic with a secret code underneath: CCI / 072111 / DKE4728 / 4D4D / 10USD. Can you “figure” it out?
Another clue comes in a quote from the group: “Brave Heroes, Masked Avengers, Super Villains, Killer Robots… all in a Summer’s work.” Does this mean there’ll be a whole new series of Android toys with cool masks and robotic parts? Or will it be an all-in-one set where you get four Androids in a single pack? Only time shall tell. We’ll be able to give you more information on the subject next week. For now, let’s take a trip down memory lane. Starting with a big contest back in February of this year. we were able to jam out two cool series 2 Android toys to you, the adoring public in a lovely display – this was BEFORE the series was even released – wowzers! We later had another contest just this May in which we had several more Series 2 figures, this time AFTER they were all sold out! We had spoilers for two secret figures: number one and number two, and we saw one of the most awesome DIY projects ever: Carsten’s Yellow Electric. Very recently we heard about a moving auction that the toy company was having in which several special edition toys would be sold. Did you win one? Tell us about it! Finally we got our very own Cai Shen Dao, Chinese New Year God of Wealth Android toy for review. Lovin it! So what’s next, DYZ, bring it on! ) |
| Leaked Handset Roadmap Includes Epic 2, Possible Galaxy S II for US Market Posted: 24 Jun 2011 09:58 AM PDT We’ve got wind of a leaked roadmap of CDMA devices for the handset market here in the USA, and a couple of them are rather high-class Android devices we’re SURE you’re going to want to hear about. Both of them are said to be coming out in the third quarter – this version being July through September – and will include two new versions of older very successful models. The first is the Samsung Epic 2. Everyone knows the cool sweetness of the original – this one’s going to be ever so slightly better in just a couple o’ ways. Then there’s a “full touch 4G” device, whatever that means, coming from Samsung. Can you guess what it might be?
First let’s talk a little bit more about the Samsung Epic 2. The original device you can get a real good look at on SlashGear in the original Epic 4G Review by Vince. Then come back here and listen to this: the new model is said to be carrying a 4-inch display, a 1.2GHz single-core Hummingbird processor almost certainly along the lines of the rest of the 1.2 GHz processor carrying Samsung devices of late, plus a lovely 8-megapixel camera on the back. The improvements, therefor, lie in the processor grabbing an extra .2 and the camera on the back adding a few megapixels. Then there’s that “full touch 4G” device. By now you’ve got to guess that it’s time for every carrier on the landscape to be clamoring for the ultimate bad-mother, the Samsung Galaxy S II, a review of which you can grab from our man in England, Chris Davies, in the post you’ll find at the top of your Google results when you search “Galaxy S II review”. There’s not a whole lot more information on this one to connect with other than the factoid from a few weeks ago that pointed toward several carriers getting this device: Attain – Function – Within. Thusly, god willing, we shall have that ultra super power soon. What do you think – the Galaxy S II this close to arrival, will you be waiting for it or grabbing one of the other fabulous devices we’ve reviewed of late? [via ThisisMynext] ) |
| NTT DoCoMo gives Android users FlyScreen Posted: 24 Jun 2011 08:30 AM PDT FlyScreen debuted back in 2009 and is a cool interactive widget that replaces the lock screen on your Android device. The developer of the app is Cellogic and it has made a deal with NTT DoCoMo that will see FlyScreen be offered to all of the Android users on the Japanese carrier. A location-based services company called Brilliant will push FlyScreen out in Japan.
DoCoMo has partnered with Guidog for LBS provider, the Guidog served is already integrated with FlyLeaf, and apparently, the app will be marketed under the FlyScreen name. Using the Guidog integration with FlyLeaf the user will be able to get all sorts of content on their lock screen including weather, local coupons, train schedules, news, maps and all sorts of other stuff. The cool part about the app being on the lock screen is that the user can check their information without having to unlock their smartphone. This will really help FlyLeaf get more users. If you use FlyLeaf let us know what you think of the app. [via TechCrunch] ) |
| Year-long study finds Android devices more likely to develop hardware issues than other devices Posted: 24 Jun 2011 08:10 AM PDT A company called WDS has announced the results of a year-long study of Android smartphones that surveyed over 600,000 technical support calls. The study claims that of all the devices on the mobile phone market, ones powered by Android are most likely to have hardware problems. The study claims that 14% of all tech support calls for Android devices were related to a hardware fault.
That is compared to only 3.7% of Blackberry devices having hardware fault an, 8% for iPhones, and 9% for Windows Phone 7 smartphones. The study also claims that the instances of hardware faults are varied between OEM deployments with some brands having more of a tendency to fail than others. The greater tendency for hard ware fault according to the study is due to the platforms fragmentation across a broad range. I have to think the fact that in many areas Android phones are more popular than the other devices and therefore have more users would also be a reason why the phones have hardware issues more. If you have more of one type of device in use then there is a bigger chance of failure. The study followed the tech support calls between June 2010 and May 2011. ) |
| Kona’s Crate game hits Android Posted: 24 Jun 2011 07:49 AM PDT It’s Friday and if you don’t feel like working and are on the prowl for a new game for your Android device Kona’s Crate might be worth a look. The game looks interesting enough and has just landed for Android users. The game is physics based platform racer in a “magical, hidden world” that has players trying to deliver stars to Kona.
The player has to squeeze through tight places while moving the crate along on a jet-powered platform. The goal is to turn the corers, avoid obstacles, and deliver the stars on time. There are three campaigns with 60 increasingly difficult levels and there are achievements and levels to be unlocked as well. The game is for all ages. It seems some of the game is about timing with the player having to avoid things like geysers and other obstacles. Right now Kona’s Crate is an exclusive for the Amazon Appstore until June 30. After that date, the game will also be on the Android Market. It sells for $2.99 and is on iOS devices right now as well. The game will come to PC and Mac computers on July 14. |
| NVIDIA Optimizes Zinio for Android on Honeycomb Tablets Posted: 24 Jun 2011 07:31 AM PDT Just when you thought Zinio couldn’t get any better, NVIDIA swoops in and flips the optimization switch. Zinio’s digital newsstand application is now optimized for NVIDIA Tegra 2, working exclusively on the chipmaker’s devices including Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, Motorola Xoom, T-Mobile G-Slate by LG, LG Optimus Pad and Acer Iconia Tab A500. This application will be YOUR portal into the world of digital magazines and it’s free on the Android market today.
Zinio acts very similar to other eReader apps in that you’re able to go in and purchase the texts you like, this newest update, should you choose to download it today, giving you the three latest issues of three rather popular magazines: ESPN, Harper's Bazaar and Popular Science. Zinio, for those of you that haven’t used it before, is a platform that works in a cloud-like environment as well, allowing you to have access to your own personal library of magazines from Mac, PC, laptop, iOS, Android and soon webOS, Windows 7 and BlackBerry. Android users may have used Zinio before, as it HAS been available for Android as an “un”-optimized version. As you’ll see in the video below, enhancements made with NVIDIA have made page-turning, zooming, and many behind-the-scenes enhancements that make this version the best one for Android yet. At the moment, this app only works for Android 3.0 and 3.1, but we’re expecting it, as well as basically every other app on the planet, to work with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when it gets released later this year. Download the app [for free on the Android Market today.] |
| comScore offers digital traffic stats for May 2011, Android dominates US smartphones Posted: 24 Jun 2011 04:51 AM PDT It’s very clear that in the smartphone world the Android OS is dominating when it comes to the number of phones selling and popularity with buyers. The Android smartphone is also dominating when it comes to the number of people surfing the web on the OS, at least in some countries. The latest numbers from metrics firm comScore are in and they show the amount of non-computer device internet traffic based on OS. The stats are broken down by iOS, Android, other smartphones, and feature phones.
In the US, Android smartphones are generating 35.6% of the traffic to the web from a smartphone. The iPhone is generating 23.5% of the traffic in the US. Interestingly in the UK, iPhone generated 29.9% of web traffic with the Android platform at 15.1%. Some of that is likely the fact that the iPhone is on all carriers in the UK and only two in the US. When it comes to the tablet market, the iPad makes 21.8% of web traffic with all Android tablets accounting for 0.6% of traffic from tablets. The numbers in the UK looks similar on the tablet front with 21.3% for iPad and 0.3% on Android tablets. [via comScore] ) |
| Nokia Android prototype caught in wild; N9 Android hacks could be straightforward Posted: 24 Jun 2011 01:14 AM PDT What looks to be a Nokia N9 prototype running Android has emerged in leaked images. Discovered over at the Weibo forums (1, 2; registration required) the images seem to show Android 2.3 Gingerbread on the new smartphone.
Now, it’s worth noting that a fake image showing the same thing would be relatively straightforward to put together, either ‘shopping the screen onto a regular MeeGo-based N9 image, or – if you have access to the handset itself – simply loading on an Android screenshot and display it for the photos. Lending to the air of authenticity, however, is the source’s track record; they apparently had access to photos of the “Sea Ray” Windows Phone prototype back in May. Nokia has previously said it considered Android instead of Windows phone, but opted for the Microsoft OS as it felt there was more room to differentiate itself. Knocking up a few prototype N9 units with the Google software doesn’t seem too unlikely. As for when the MeeGo-based N9 launches, we’re hearing it’ll have a root-mode switch that should make unofficial installs of platforms like Android more straightforward when the smartphone is in the wild.

| CF-Bench Multicore Benchmark Updated to 1.1, Pro Version Added to Market Posted: 23 Jun 2011 03:41 PM PDT So you were there yesterday when this multicore capable benchmarking system CF-Bench, aka ChainFire Bench was released, and everyone went crazy with the marking of the benches, right? Well check it out, overnight the folks at CF decided it was time for an update, basically right out the gate. Then they’ve got a PRO version as well which, as you guessed, gets rid of the advertisement so very prevalent near the top of the results page when you run a benchmark test. And the thing’s still under 50 downloads – wacky!
Unless the dang market isn’t racking em up correctly, that is. Under 50 downloads, that’ seems completely crazy man, crazy, especially for a nice app like that in a nice place like this. This .1 upgrade we’re talking about here adds several VERY helpful and awesome additions to the app, including the stopping of the app from closing if its obscured by another app, its results rendering is adjusted so it looks better on tablets, and of course, again, there’s a pro version. Why buy the pro version, you ask, if you don’t care about ads anyway? There’s one more factor that’ll win you over for sure – when you’ve got the pro version, whenever you open the app, you get the results from the last benchmark, right there in front of ya. Helpful and nice. [GET CF-BENCH HERE and test away!] Now I need to direct you back to the big post we had yesterday so you can contribute after you’ve purchased the pro version or have simply downloaded the free version: [New Multi-Core Benchmarking System CF-Bench Tested on Sensation, EVO 3D, Galaxy Tab 10.1, A500, G-Slate] – and many more! We’d like you to contribute your scores and compare and contrast them with the rest of the community – it’s fun, and not at all masculine in a very obvious way. ) |
| Amazon Selling Atrix for One Cent Posted: 23 Jun 2011 03:25 PM PDT Joy of the days! The original dual-core monster (or so some say, some say not, but some say) is here for essentially free, finally, this time on Amazon, your favorite online dealer of the goods. What’s more is that not only will you get this device that’d normally cost you $600 off-contract for one cent, you’ll get a $100 voucher for that much off an Atrix laptop dock. What a deal, what a deal indeed – can you even contain yourself?
This device was JUST spoken about by the gods of these Android internets in respect to its upcoming Android 2.3 Gingerbread update (which some say will include an extra .4 at the end, but you didn’t hear that from me.) This update will, if reports are true, include the ability unlock your bootloader with a very simple fastboot oem unlock in your guts and like magic, you’ll have access. Magic, I tell you! Now you’ve got no reason in the WORLD not to go grab an Atrix, right?
This deal comes amid news of another Motorola device that bears an uncanny resemblance to the Atrix not so much in its appearance, but in its function. Just a couple weeks ago, your humble narrator was in New York City at a Motorola event where they revealed the PHOTON 4G, a device with the same dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor as the ATRIX, basically the same physical size, and having the same webtop capabilities. Have a look at that in two posts with hands-on: one about the accessories, one about the handset itself in all its magnificent and diamond-shaped glory.
Then back to the Amazon deal for the Atrix – you’ll have to head on over to [the listing page on Amazon] to take advantage of it, and you should probably act fast because deals where devices are one cent tend not to last very long. [via Twitter] ) |
| HTC EVO 3D Software Update, Deletable Bloatware at Launch Posted: 23 Jun 2011 03:19 PM PDT For all those of you who got their HTC EVO 3D early OR are getting their HTC EVO 3D tomorrow, I’ve got a couple of tidbits for you that might light your fire. First, there’s a software update coming across that’s 26.59MB large and in charge, and it’ll fix a calendar bug that happens when you’re rummaging around your calendar that’ll force quit you on the spot. Second, the excellent news that you’re able to delete SOME of your bloatware without root.
While normally every app that comes with your device is going to be stuck with you until the bitter end, this device has several apps that are able to be deleted right out of the box. I saw a report about this over on our good buddy’s site Android Police and saw that several sources are reporting that it’s whatever apps you want, and I’m here to tell you that that’s simply not true – unless we got a dud unit, of course.
For example, a couple of evil apps that are full of guts and splooge and all that nonsense that you might want to get rid of are Sprint Zone and Sprint Radio. The difference between these two is that you are able to delete Sprint Radio while Sprint Zone remains stuck to the spot. Yuckers. To get rid of the rest of the junk you’ll just have to root your device and chop it out the normal way. Then let’s talk about this update coming out now – it’s the best update ever! It’ll take you about 5 minutes if you’ve got a decent connection, or 2 minutes if you’re rolling out on some high-speed network not included on the phone itself. This update is number 1.12.651.7 and is supposedly only to update your calendar, but considering the size of the download, we’re thinking there’s a couple other nuggets in there as well.

| CyanogenMod 7 Nightlies Starting for HTC Incredible S Posted: 23 Jun 2011 02:42 PM PDT So you’d like to get some of the sweetest goodness on your Incredible S, yes? You’d like to grab that rooted device build everyone’s talking about, that Android system that brings you to a whole new Gingerbread, the one with five syllables in it, huh? Yes indeed, The Cyanogenmod team took advantage of the recent Droid Incredible S permaroot with S-off and a bit of the ol’ unlocking of the bootloader and mixed it all up with their own flavor of blue and green.
You’ll want to go right ahead and check out this build every single night until its solid, that is if you’re into the whole rooting thing. You’re not? That’s wacky! Oh you don’t know what a nightly is – it’s a release of a ROM for your device that isn’t complete (sort of like a beta) that you’re invited to use to your delight but are expected to report on to the team at Cyanogenmod so that they might improve the system until it’s perfect and stable. There’s going to be bugs in here, and they’re going to be creepy crawly. To access these nightly builds, head over to Cyanogen and grab [THIS 87 MB file] followed by the [GOOGLE APPS ZIP FILE] so you aren’t lost in nowhere land. Don’t want to get Incideous’d. Once you do access this build, whichever day you do so, be sure to let us know how it’s going and when it’s getting stable enough for everyone to use! Also of course report to the Cyanogen team as often as possible so that they might burn the midnight oil and get this release released! [via Cyanogenmod] ) |
| Archos 35 Home Connect Android Radio Specs Revealed, Looks Kinda Neat Posted: 23 Jun 2011 02:13 PM PDT Our good pals at Archos have really tossed the basketball at the tower of wine glasses today with news of their brand new Android lineup. They did SORT OF the same thing back in the day when they revealed the first Android tablet – turned out that wasn’t so great – but this time it might be a set of winners. We’ve seen an Android landline phone, we’ve seen a couple of what might be magnificently powerful tablets, and now we’ve got some details on an Android radio. Wait, you say, isn’t an Android handset all of these things, why separate? You shall see, young padawan.
What you’re going to get with this RRP $149 desk radio is a web radio connected, Android app running, clock and camera having, high-quality sound and video machine. Apparently this device, as Archos notes, has sound quality that you’ll be amazed by whilst considering the size of the object – you’ve got the option to play MP3, FLAC, OGG, and WAV files for music, if you’d like to know. Next, Archos notes a couple of items one would not normally think of when considering a clock for a desk: the Archos 35 Home Connect “is light” and “fits perfectly in your hand.” Does this mean I’ll be carrying it around the house? I hope so!
You probably will when you consider that it doesn’t need to be connected to a wall socket, has the ability to work with video chat apps with its VGA resolution front-facing camera, and plays MPEG-4, AVI and most common video formats from its 3.5-inch TFT LCD display. This device has 4 GB of internal memory and an SD card slot to expand memory by 16 GB, and can connect to your Mac or PC machine in mass storage mode for media transfer. You’ll be transferring data with a micro USB cord (with USB 2.0) which comes included, you’ve got integrated Wi-Fi n, there’s a non-removable battery inside, and you get a power adapter in the package aside your user manual, which I know you all read. This device comes loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo and no word on the ability to upgrade. What do you think? Something you’d like sitting around the house?

| Archos 35 Smart Home Phone Announced as Android Landline Posted: 23 Jun 2011 01:36 PM PDT Just when you thought the home phone was dead and gone for so long that it’d never come back, Archos hits you in the face with a new release. Android for your home. That’s what they’re saying this device is, and with a 3.5-inch touchscreen and a dock that you’ll be proud to put in the sun-faded spot where your landline phone used to be. This device also has a wireless receiver separate from the dock and is compatible with all ADSL boxes, phone lines, and uses standard DECT protocols so you’ll be rolling out fine with your everyday DECT bases you already own. You already own one, right? Of course you do.
Not a whole heck of a lot has been revealed about this device, but what we do know confuses us. Why would Archos release a handset, a mobile, wireless handset that cannot go outside the home? Will it be given away for free, or will your landline bill be cheaper than your mobile bill – wait, that’s it! Everyone knows that it’s cheaper to own a landline than it is to own a cellphone, so Archos has hit the bell right on the head!
This device is capable of making called as most Android devices at this moment are prone to do, plus it’s got a 3.5-inch touchscreen that works for video chat. The front-facing camera is apparently capable of a surprising 720p video, so maybe this should be the device you’re using to chat with your long-lost relatives across the USA. There’s also a built-in app which allows you to use the device as a baby monitor or surveillance camera. Creepy! Then of course it’s got “access to thousands of Android apps.” Whether or not the device has access to the Android market is still up for debate, but given the fact that the two tablets Archos put out earlier today do, we’re thinking this device might also. Google, did you approve? We’ll see soon enough.

| HTC Glamor, a Handset for Feminine Style Posted: 23 Jun 2011 01:16 PM PDT Remember back when we spoke of a device called the HTC Bliss? T’was an HTC handset made for the ladies, or of course if you know that it’s not just whats in your undercarriage that counts, for the more feminine amongst us, ladies or gentlemen. Well check it out: now there’s another leak of a device that’s bright as all get-out, and it’s again coming from HTC. The folks as PocketNow have discovered another image with the name HTC Glamor attached to it – three devices, all with the same name, all on hangers.
Because of course all women love to hang up their clothing and bright colors are the way to a woman’s heart, right? Of course! I’ve got to note here and now that the advertising for these devices, should they indeed be intended for the market and intended to be aimed directly at women, will either be a massive hit, a massive offense to the feminist portion of our American society, or some third thing.
Then have a look back at the photos in the post entitled HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G Accessories Rundown – in the case we got to see back at CTIA there were a whole slew of “female oriented” official cases for those two lovely devices. HTC really, truly, does appear to be making a device even more brightly colored than the Vodafone exclusive Desire S and its ON FIRE coverings.
What do you think? Again, do you think it’s time for a more feminine device where the current selection already includes whatever color you want so long as it’s black? [via Pocketnow] ) |
| Archos 80 G9 and 101 G9 Honeycomb Tablets Revealed, 250GB Hard Drives, Android Market in Tow Posted: 23 Jun 2011 12:58 PM PDT Well would you look at that, a couple o’ Android tablets for you to be glancing at. These tablets were foretold back on the 1st of this month and foreseen for months. What we’ve got here is two tablets, one of them an 8-inch tablet by the name of 80 G9, the other a 10-inch tablet by the name of 101 G0. Both of these tablets have Android 3.1, both of them have the Android Market inside out of the box, and both have the option to work with a 250GB hard drive.
This harddrive, one of the two most fabulous features on these tablets, add approximately 3mm to either of the basic versions. There’s also a 3G USB-based stick that you can work with here, the image below showing you how you’ll be jamming it in to your cool new tablet. Both of these tablets are ready to roll on 3G, though no specific carriers have been announced thus far and the option of adding the stick, for $49 that is, will give you a Pay as you Go plan. Then as you may already know, these two tablets mark the first Android tablets made by Archos have had access to Google’s Android Market.
Both of these tablets are packing the same dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP 4 processors at 1.5 GHz, and both of them have a – yes I love this – kickstand installed on the basic hardware. Both devices will be playing 1080p videos in any of the following formats with an “optional plugin”: AVI, MP4, MOV, 3GP, MPG, PS, TS, VOB, MKV, FLV, RM, RMVB, ASF, and WMV. The displays are thus: 80 G9 with a 1024×768 pixel resolution 4:3 ratio display, the 101 G9 having a 1280×800 pixel resolution 16:10 ratio display. Both devices have HDMI out that’s also capable of outputting 1080p. Plug it in! The standard versions of both of these tablets, if you don’t decide on the magnificently large 250GB hard drive addition, will contain 16 GB of flash storage. Have a look here at a teaser video as presented by Archos: And check out these surprisingly affordable prices: the 8-inch tablet starts at $279 and the 10.1-inch tablet starts at $349. Fantastic! Both tablets will be available at the end of September. Plug and play – rock and roll! Can’t wait to check em out! ) |
| Update Atrix to Gingerbread, Get an Unlocked Bootloader Posted: 23 Jun 2011 12:17 PM PDT One more step, just one more step is all you need, and Motorola’s claims to be moving toward an unlocked bootloader environment for all of their devices will become a reality for you. The folks over at BriefMobile have discovered a way to access an utterly excellent situation for your hacking delight – after you’ve got one of the leaked early builds of Gingerbread, that being Android 2.3.3 for the Motorola Atrix 4G, all you’ll have to do is jam the traditional command "fastboot oem unlock” and BAM!
The best bit about this situation is that its been confirmed by Motorola representatives for the final release of the Gingerbread update – joyous day! This update, if you don’t already know, should be coming across over the air in or around July. Once you get it, just Fastboot and unlock to your delight. This will allow you to get in to your insides and make your insides your outsides and mangle them for all of your own satisfaction! Have a look at a lovely video of the process below, and get your tapping fingers out for some rocking: Then lets talk for a moment about recent Atrix news: it’s all about the Photon. This device with the same name as the Star Trek torpedo will be sort of an updated version of the Atrix with a kickstand that activates webtop and a different carrier and updated OS to boot. Will it be unlocked at the start as well? We’re guessing yes, even though Motorola says the opposite, according to some. Check out several posts: Motorola PHOTON 4G Car Dock, Multimedia Dock, and Webtop Hands-On, move on to just the Promo Video, and the handset hands-on. It’s a superstar! Now we’ve just got to wait for it – and the XT882, of course. [via BriefMobile] ) |
| HTC EVO View Hands-On and Unboxing Posted: 23 Jun 2011 11:46 AM PDT We’ve got our hands on a brand new EVO View tablet, aka the black version of the HTC Flyer we’ve already gotten a peek at – and it’s got a black stylus as well! What you’re going to see here is a very similar situation to that lovely white and silver tablet, this one with the same stylus situation, ability to draw on the screen, screenshots on a tap, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a lovely version of Sense over the top. HTC’s got a winner here, I can tell already, the black makes the whole situation all the better.
This tablet’s got a 1.5GHz single-core processor, a size of 7.70 x 4.40 x 0.5 inches, and 425 g on the weight. It’s a candybar that weighs about as much as a couple of heavy wallets, it’s about the same size as two wallets, and it fits in my front pocket (though I do wear pants with pretty big pockets.) It’s got a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera, a back-facing 5 megapixel camera, and you’re going to be able to capture 720p video, if that’s your thing. Inside you’ll find 1024 MB of ram, aka 1GB, and that 1GHz processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon, so you’ll be cruzin.
In the box you’re going to get the tablet, the stylus pen with a single AAA battery, a microUSB to USB cord, a microUSB to wall socket cord, and a few booklets from the carrier. There’s a 3.5 mm headphone jack, power button/lock right next to it at the top of the portrait view, microUSB port at the other end, and volume rocker on the upper left of the portrait view. Features on the back including the camera lens rim and speaker grill are RED just like all of your favorite EVO devices. Furthermore, the insides of the device that you’re able to see are RED as well, making this a true EVO, if you know what I mean. You want to take some notes? You’ve got it. Check out the hands-on video here, photos above and below, and be sure to shoot some questions here if you want to know anything about the tablet so we can answer them in the full review! ) |
