Samsung Galaxy S III quad-core with 2GB of RAM heads for Korea

Posted: 08 Jun 2012 04:44 PM PDT

The popular Samsung Galaxy S III is hitting the global market in more than a few variations. The international and UK model rocks Samsung’s quad-core Exynos processor, while us here in the US will be getting a 2GB model with a dual-core processor instead. News today is aiming towards Korea’s SK Telecom getting the best of both worlds.

Some new leaked spec sheets found by PhoneArena shows Samsung is preparing an Exynos 1.4 GHz quad-core model that also comes with 2GB of RAM for Korea. Either that or some other smartphone, but we can’t see Samsung beating out their own flagship any time soon.

Aside from the impressive quad and 2GB of RAM specs we still have the same 4.8-inch amazing HD display, but the size of the phone appears to have changed ever so slightly. The details state the phone being 4.82 ounces (136.5 grams) and 0.35 inches (9mm) thick, coming in slightly fatter and heavier than the current model. I don’t know about you guys but I’d gladly take the added weight and .04mm in thickness for a Galaxy S III with a quad-core, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and 4G LTE any day. Would you? If this turns out to be true I just might need to import one for myself.

Polarbit releases Red Bull X-Fighters 2012 Motocross for Android

Posted: 08 Jun 2012 04:23 PM PDT

Yes you read that right. Polarbit has just released a game with Red Bull. The two have apparently teamed up (for better or for worse) and have just dropped what should hopefully be a pretty great Motocross game for Android. They are calling it X-fighters and they’ve released a quick teaser video for us all too so check it out below.

Polarbit is a well known Android developer and are the team behind the popular Reckless Racing and Raging Thunder series. Usually games with these types of “sponsors” don’t turn out too great but having an excellent team like Polarbit could make this one to try. This MotoX game has a decent amount to offer so hopefully it delivers.

Gameplay and graphics look decent from the promo video, and it even has a pretty decent soundtrack thanks to Red Bull Records. Here’s what to expect in the new X-Fighters 2012:

FEATURES
- 4 action packed game modes
- Win the 2012 world tour an play all 6 official stops
- Send your Facebook friends in-game challenges
- Unlock driver suits, bikes and dozens of tricks
- Play as Red Bull X-Fighter World champion DANY TORRES
- Combine FMX Tricks and create your own style
- Full achievement and leaderboard system including Game Center and
global/national rankings
- Official music by TWIN ATLANTIC (Red Bull Records)

Tricks while racing will be handled via on-screen gestures, and they’ve even added a nifty skull for some added boost when needed. You’ll be able to check out the Trikipedia for a list of tricks you can do while riding too. The game is available today on the Google Play Store via the link below for $0.99 only. Hit that skull, do a double backflip, and see if you can compete with the best.

Verizon Motorola DROID RAZR HD leaks – 3,300 mAh battery and all

Posted: 08 Jun 2012 01:43 PM PDT

What do we have here? The Motorola DROID Fighter? If recent names and leaks are accurate this is the brand new Motorola DROID RAZR HD headed to Verizon Wireless this summer. Obviously sporting Verizon and 4G LTE logos on the back, we also get a look of that shiny all Kevlar rear casing to protect the smartphone. It’s the DROID RAZR, only better. More details after the cut.

Motorola’s brand new DROID RAZR HD is looking pretty sleek. Especially considering the tipsters details provided to Droid-Life confirms the phone will in fact come with a huge 3,300 mAh battery – just like the RAZR MAXX. With what should be a 4.5-inch 720p HD screen (that the leakster says is amazing) the phone also appears to have one massive camera.

If this device is anything like the RAZR HD’s we’ve recently seen in China, it could very well come with a 13 megapixel camera on the rear, and even a 3 megapixel front facing camera for video chat and self portraits. Just like the Motorola Atrix 3 that leaked this morning, the RAZR HD will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and have no capacitive buttons in favor of on-screen navigation just like the Galaxy Nexus. It should be powered by the Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core S4 processor and 1GB of RAM, but we could see 2GB like the recent Galaxy S III.

The back again, doesn’t appear to be removable and you won’t be able to access the battery if it’s anything like it’s older brother. Nicely Motorola moved the micro-USB and dock HDMI port to the bottom side again instead of up top like some devices. Until we get additional details on the all new RAZR HD we’ll just have to enjoy this leak. Stay tuned!
