Scientists, engineers, researchers and developers throughout Latin America will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of high performance computing at the GPU Computing Developer Forum (GCDF) in Brazil, from July 17-18.

Taking place for the first time in Latin America, the two-day forum offers attendees numerous lectures, courses and exhibitions of scientific research regarding GPUs and the CUDA parallel computing platform.

More than 300 experts in GPU computing are expected to participate in the forum, where they'll discuss how they've overcome computational challenges using GPUs and advanced areas of study such as oil and gas exploration, molecular simulation and climate modeling.

Featured lectures include those from international NVIDIA specialists on high performance computing, as well as from Petrobras and the National Institute for Space Research, two Brazilian institutions whose supercomputers were included in the most recent edition of the Top500 list of the most powerful supercomputers in the world.

GCDF is part of the programming of the 32nd annual conference of the Brazilian Computer Society, the country's largest and most important computing event with more than 1,000 attendees, taking place at the Polytechnic Center of the Federal University of ParanĂ¡ in Curitiba.

Visit the official GCDF website to find out more information and register to attend. If you can't make it in person, follow live event coverage on NVIDIA Brazil communications channels:
