MSI GT70 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M GPU

Since its launch in June as the world's fastest gaming GPU, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M has won rave reviews.

Now MSI has become our latest OEM partner to launch gaming notebooks using GeForce GTX 680M GPUs – and they're a couple of the best looking and best playing ones out there.

Both the 17-inch MSI GT70 and the more portable 15-inch GT60 come equipped with Optimus technology, which provides outstanding graphics performance while extending battery life. The GT70 was recently awarded the "Best Choice Award" and "Media Choice Award" at Computex 2012, and both models are available today.

The GeForce GTX 680M is fast – as in desktop PC fast – which is what digitaltrends.com discovered when they tested it in an Alienware M17x. The site recorded scores that "… don't just beat previous gaming laptops. They also defeat some gaming desktops." HotHardware.com reported that "… this rig beat out the competition handily, even over systems with dual GPU configurations."

The 680M delivers on the promise of uncompromised mobile gaming because, at its core, it is the same chip as our flagship GeForce GTX 680 desktop GPU – the most efficient GPU ever built.

Built on the NVIDIA Kepler architecture and configured for maximum performance in notebooks, the GeForce GTX 680M has proven to be the perfect complement to Intel's Ivy Bridge chipset, itself a boon for notebooks. As PC Magazine points out, "… thanks to a new Ivy Bridge processor and NVIDIA Kepler graphics, it topped our leaderboard on multimedia benchmark tests, and returned playable frame rates at its 1,920-by-1,080 native resolution."

While speed is critical, we believe that the best gaming experience also means having the greatest gaming tech at your disposal. The GeForce GTX 680M comes loaded with these latest gaming technologies and more: It automatically turns on lightning-fast anti-aliasing in a huge variety of games with NVIDIA FXAA and TXAA. NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync adjusts VSync to current frame rates to drastically reduce image tearing. And NVIDIA PhysX technology brings to life games with dynamic, interactive environments in games like the upcoming Borderlands 2.

The MSI GT 70 can be yours today from e-tailers Newegg.com, B&H and J&R or custom builders Xotic PC, GenTech PC and EXcaliberPC. Learn more about how the GeForce GTX 680M can change your game at www.nvidia.com.

NVIDIA First U.S. High-Tech Co. To Hit Emissions Standard

Global Citizenship Report 2012

Global citizenship is serious business at NVIDIA.

In October, we climbed to No. 10 on Newsweek's Greenest Companies list of the top 500 U.S. companies, from No. 314 three years earlier.

In June, we received the Acterra Award for Sustainability for large companies from Acterra, a leading environmental nonprofit.

And we've just become the first high-tech company in the U.S. – and the first company in Silicon Valley – to complete a global greenhouse gas assurance process, as defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

We engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to provide limited assurance on our 2011 consolidated greenhouse gas emissions data under the AICPA attestation standards. The review helps "harden" the greenhouse gas data NVIDIA collects across our global locations and activities, which is used to set goals for climate emission reductions.

Launch of New Global Citizenship Report

Coinciding with this achievement, we've launched our third annual Global Citizenship Report, which describes our commitment to making a positive difference in the world.

Our commitment begins with our company. We design products for optimal power efficiency so our customers can do amazing things. We hold ourselves to the highest degrees of governance and ethics. And we work with our supply chain partners to meet the highest industry standards.

It extends to our workforce. In our workplaces, we create healthy environments where energy and water use is minimized. For our people, we strive to build an engaging setting where achievement and innovation is maximized.

It includes the environment. We set policies and create systems to lighten our environmental footprint. And we engage our network of customers, suppliers and employees to continually improve awareness of environmental issues.

And it embraces our community. Wherever we work, our employee-driven initiatives aid the communities in which we do business. Whether we're volunteering at local farms or promoting the long-term benefits of math and science education, community engagement is one of our core values.

“by the numbers”.

This year, we've created an infographic to accompany our Global Citizenship Report that highlights our efforts "by the numbers." From helping urban planners make cities more sustainable to boosting the processing power for physicists studying the Big Bang, we're helping to solve complex social issues and enabling a new age of scientific discovery.
