Posted: 10 May 2010 09:31 AM PDT

More information on the Motorola MT820 has recently surfaced. One of which is a name change or sorts, it's now been dubbed the MT810, codename “North Sea”. This phone will work on China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network and WAPI. It will feature 720p video among other things.

It also has a 5MP cam with flash, CMMB mobile TV capability and the dual screen will be both resistive and capacitive. The part that flips will have capacitive sensors while the main screen will be resistive. It will be interesting to see how both of these technologies work together. A link to the promotional video is below.

Another myTouch 3G Slide in The Wild Teaser

Posted: 10 May 2010 08:53 AM PDT

Well, there's nothing good happening in this video other than the phone is getting fondled pretty well. It looks like some guy is borrowing a phone given to his female friend. Nothing is demoed, the phone is a bit greasy but it still looks pretty good and seems to operate very smooth.

The guys over at androidcentral found this video hanging around YouTube. Even though this video isn't really a demonstration of the device, one thing we can take from it is its really quick. It doesn't seem to be bogged down by the 600MHZ CPU at all. When the guy was scrolling through the apps it looks like there was at least 80 apps installed and it still performed pretty well. You are the judge, how you think it performs?

Android Outsells iPhone in Q1

Posted: 10 May 2010 08:39 AM PDT

For the first time since Android was released, it finally sold more phones than the iPhone. NPD Group is reporting that Android is the number two selling platform behind Blackberry in the US. Blackberries account for 36% of the market share, Android has 28% while the iPhone brings up the rear with 21%.

Watch your back Blackberry because you're next. This is awesome news and we can thank the Droid and the Incredible for being a big part of this gain. There's going to be a brawl this summer when the 4G iPhone is release alongside a slew of Android devices that include high, mid and low-end phones. Android will continue on it's upwards trend due to various carrier and manufacturer support. Anyone still complaining about fragmentation now or do you think Google's strategy is going well?

Buy The myTouch 3G Slide Now!!!

Posted: 10 May 2010 06:54 AM PDT

If you're one of those people that just have to have all the new gadgets first then this is definitely for you. The upcoming myTouch 3G Slide has made an appearance on eBay. If you have a few bucks to throw around you can head over to eBay, and get the bidding started, the initial bid is $750.

If you don't want to be bothered with bidding, you can buy it now for the low price of $1200. Granted when this does come out it should retail off contract for between $300 and $450 but hey, this is for bragging rights. If you're a little thrifty like me, you'll wait the rumored 3 weeks or so to pick this up. But, if anyone in the community grabs this first I want to see a ton of screenshots. Are you headed to eBay now to get this?

Quake 3 Ported To The Nexus One – Video

Posted: 10 May 2010 06:45 AM PDT

First it was Doom and now its quake's turn. Quake 3 has been ported to the Nexus One. This game has actually been around for awhile, we've seen it on the Droid, and it has now made its way to the Nexus.

This game has been renamed to Kwaak 3 but when you start it up, it's full on Quake 3. This game would've made its way to the Nexus sooner but unlike the Droid the Nexus doesn't have physical keys. That hurdled has been jumped and now the game is fully functional. This game uses the volume rocker and the trackball for controls, it's not ideal but it does get the job done.
