Samsung Epic 4G for Sprint Gets Nicely Crafted Promotional Video

Posted: 01 Jul 2010 10:31 AM PDT

We know how it is. Sometimes you just want to sit back and watch a nicely CG-rendered mobile phone video. Especially when it’s just a bunch of promotional videos thrown together. And when it comes to Samsung preaching up their latest Galaxy S line of devices (in this case, the Epic 4G), there’s definitely a lot to talk about. In the video you’ll find out why Super AMOLED is better, and you’ll even get a bold statement like the one in the image below. We do know that the 1GHz Hummingbird processor is fast, and apparently that’s enough for Samsung to make some bold claims.

As for the rest of the video, it’s your standard amount of promotional fanfare. There’s nothing groundbreaking revealed within, but you do get to see plenty of the phone, and it does very well to show off all of the device’s great features. So, sit back on your Thursday afternoon and enjoy the goodness that follows.

Posted: 30 Jun 2010 03:05 PM PDT

EVO 4G is one of the fastest and well working phone on 4G. It is hard to get this amazing phone right now because lack of stock in production. The people who have the EVO can now have root access in three clicks.

The first step is to go to the thread at XDA-Developers. In there you will receive all the information and necessary goods that you will need to begin this rooting session. The second step is to install the program to your windows computer. The third step is time for action. After all those steps, it’s time to start the real deal. First tap is to open up the root access, second tap is to unlock Nand, and lastly Flash Recovery. The End. You are set to go.

However, there is a little disappointing news for you all. If you have the recent OTA update by Sprint, you are unable to use this tool to root your phone. I guess you just have to wait for next time.

EVO 4G Updates is Ready to Change Your Life

Posted: 30 Jun 2010 01:38 PM PDT

Sprint has comes up with the latest update on EVO 4G, although there is no Froyo yet. And while the original update didn’t brick everyone’s phone, Sprint thought it would be a good idea to pull the original, and then release this one instead. With it, the main key point is faster WiFi.

Don’t worry about this sudden updates because it probably won’t break your phone. Rather, help you even more. Seems like Spirint is trying their best to keep its customers happy, and making it so their phone works faster, in any capacity at all, is one way to do that. Of course, not bricking your phone is a good way to make that happen, too.

Samsung Epic 4G Gets Handled in Early Preview

Posted: 30 Jun 2010 12:26 PM PDT

Most of the Epic’s specs are well known as well as how it will match up against other phones. At Engadget, they were able to receive one and do a test run on it. They went through a brief checklist including the Hardware, screen, software and its overall performance.

The 4″ screen isn’t the same as the Droid X and HTC EVO’s 4.3″ screen but not too much of a noticeable difference. The keyboard doesn’t add that much weight to the phone and is very nice, it also comes with a front facing camera. The same Galaxy S Super AMOLED screen, it will come with Android 2.1 with 2.2 closely following. The epic also supports the same 1GHz Hummingbird CPU of the Galaxy S all in all this looks like a very solid phone.

Verizon offering HTC Droid Incredible pre-order customers $25 gift cards

Posted: 30 Jun 2010 12:13 PM PDT

A few tips have pointed that Verizon is handing out apology letters to those patiently waiting for the Droid Incredible after another delay. The news isn’t very interesting but the one part of this we did find interesting was them handing out $25 gift cards with the letters as a “don’t go” plead. The letter simply states they are expecting a delay and that your satisfaction is important to them, in the form of the gift card.

The only thing we’re not positive on is Verizon sending these to those who made a fuss about it or simply to all who ordered and are still waiting for the Incredible. If anybody has ordered the HTC Droid Incredible and has received the letter and giftcard, what did you do in the time waiting? Did you simply sit back and wait or did you try to get some answers from Verizon?

Google rumoured to push Froyo OTA to Some Motorola Droids

Posted: 30 Jun 2010 11:35 AM PDT

More Froya news keeps pouring out, for a while we’ve known that the Android 2.2 will be coming to Droid next month, but it looks like it might be coming a tad earlier than we had expected, at least for some lucky owners. This is only a rumor at the moment, but with more of a circulation now, it seems far more like reality than fiction. It turns out Google is handing out Froyo to a certain set of Droid users over the air.

That is pretty much all the knowledge that was rumoured, but at least the info is on track with meeting the July date they released. With reports of the finalized build of 2.2 leaking out now, the rumored OTA update for some DROID owners is more than likely very real. Any one of our Droid owners out there get their own OTA update?
