We know it's coming, we just don't know exactly when in the United States. Following The Carphone Warehouse's pre-registration page in the UK, T-Mobile has now offered up an email registration page promising you'll be among the first to know further details of the upcoming 7-inch tablet.

We already know that the Galaxy Tab will launch in the UK November 1st, but we are still left unaware of an expected launch date of the much hyped tablet on any of the 4 US carriers it's going to launch on. Details to come, and we will for sure let you know of any confirmed launch dates as we get closer to the end of the month.

Amazon waives $99 fee for developers first year

Posted: 03 Oct 2010 08:18 AM PDT

This week we posted the email that sent out to potential developers that contained the developer terms and conditions as well as their pricing structure for royalty fees. Well, good news for developers, this $99 fee has been waived.

In another email sent to developers this week Amazon is waiving the first year of charges as a "token of their appreciation" towards developers joining in. As of now we are not sure if this is a special limited time offer for early sign ups, or if this means there will be no development fees for all first years pushing the Amazon App Store into competitive mode with the Android Market.

We are pleased you joined the Amazon App Store program and as a token of our appreciation, you will not be required to pay the $99 program fee for your first year of participation in Amazon’s App Store program. Program fees for subsequent years will be due on the anniversary of the date you accepted the App Store Distribution Agreement.

BlindType acquired by Google

Posted: 02 Oct 2010 01:10 PM PDT

BlindType, the highly impressive typing software for mobile devices, has been acquired Google. Most known for it's impressive videos of typing "blindly" and still coming up with an accurate result, the addition of this software could be very helpful for all, especially those who find typing on a virtual keyboard an annoyance, or unreliable.

In the official statement on their blog, BlindType stated:

"We are excited to announce that BlindType has been acquired by Google!

We want to thank everyone for their overwhelming support and positive feedback. We know that typing on your mobile device can be a frustrating experience, which is why we've worked hard to make touch typing easier and faster than ever – the way it should be.

We're excited to join Google, and look forward to the great opportunities for mobile innovation that lie ahead.

The BlindType team"

As seen in the video demonstration below, BlindType allows you to type without being even slightly accurate, aka typing blindly. This could be very effective for people who type fast, distracted, or just mindlessly, and will still compute the desired result. Further word is to come, and we will for sure keep you updated!
