Will there ever be a great PlayStation Move game?

Posted: 01 Oct 2010 09:09 AM PDT

PlayStation Move games are still thin on the ground, with only a handful having been released since we got our hands on the bubble headed Move controllers. Is this lack of decent content for the PlayStation Move a trend that is set to continue, and perpetuate, leading to the slow death of the PlayStation Move in favour of less Ann Summers-like controllers, or are we just being impatient?

As always, while we might have our own suspicions about the direction the PlayStation Move is headed in, we’re often far too cynical. We want to hear from you, to hear about whether you’re spending more time thinking more about the phallic design of the PlayStation Move than you are actually playing games with it.

Check Out Our Most Recommended

Some games wouldn’t be appropriate for the Move, that’s a given (who could play Call of Duty seriously when wafting around a thing mounted with a glowing pink ball?), but there are lots that could work with the PlayStation Move. What do you want to see with Move compatibility? Drop us a line in the comments, and click and tell us whether you think the PlayStation Move will ever give rise to any truly great games.

Three iPad tariffs square up to O2

Posted: 01 Oct 2010 09:06 AM PDT

iPad tariffs are the cause of frequent headaches for those eyeing up Apple’s tablet, so Three is attempting to clarify things, as well as give O2’s tariff-setters a slap across the chops. Check out this handy Three infographic (full size after the break), which pours scorn on O2’s offering. Now all we need is for O2 to find a way to hit back… How’s your glass house looking these days, Three?

Ryder Cup players can’t play golf, play Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 instead

Posted: 01 Oct 2010 07:55 AM PDT

The Ryder Cup is a wash out and word reaches us via BBC 5 Live that the players are keeping themselves busy by playing virtual golf instead. Gossip from the team rooms includes pictures of Rory McIIroy snoozing popping up on Twitter and most brilliantly that the players have been reduced to playing as themselves on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011 to keep themselves amused. If the rain doesn't stop, perhaps they should just play the entire competition out on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11. After all, it's got Playstation Move support…

And yes we did choose a Tiger Woods PGA 2011 still featuring rain.

Palm Pixi Plus hits Pay As You Go, price destroys competition

Posted: 01 Oct 2010 07:20 AM PDT

Uh wow. The Palm Pixi Plus has had a drastic price cut on O2: you can now pick it up for just £109.99 on Pay As You Go, and considering the webOS phone is worth well over £200 unlocked on eBay auctions right now, that’s one big subsidy.

We’ve always loved webOS but struggled to recommend it based on the pricing, so this is great news, and certainly if you’re looking at a £99 Android phone, we’d strongly suggest you consider this cute little critter instead – we’d go so far as to say that this is the smoothest smartphone experience you’ll have in this price range full stop. Look for it in O2 shops today, and online from 7 October.
