One Billionth GeForce Ships Posted: 13 Jan 2011 10:48 AM PST It has been an exciting start to 2011 for us and we have another piece of news to share … we just shipped our 1 billionth GeForce GPU! This is a thrilling milestone, in partnership with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC),  and we have you all to thank.  Our customers are some of the most passionate in the PC industry and we build these GPUs with you in mind. Some fun facts to help understand the size of 1 billion GPUs: If you lined the chips all up in a row They would warp around the world more than twice They'd stretch across 315,000 American Football fields or 275,000 Soccer fields You'd need the entire population of Shanghai, China standing on each others' shoulders to match it GeForce is a product that we are all very proud to be a part of, and we’re so happy that we have customers like you to build them for.  Thanks for helping us achieve such a significant milestone. Now, if only we could find the person who actually bought the 1 billionth GeForce.
