NVIDIA Heading to CES, Loaded with Mobile, Gaming, Auto Goodness Posted: 04 Jan 2012 03:16 PM PST Right through the holiday break, we've been busy preparing for next week's Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) in Vegas. We'll have two booths this year to accommodate all the Tegra, GeForce, 3DVision and automotive goodness we're bringing to the show. The main booth, located in the Las Vegas Convention Center's (LVCC's) South Hall, will feature all manner of gadget demos. The second, outdoors in the LVCC Central Plaza, will feature automotive tech, including a recently unveiled supercar that NVIDIA has never before shown to the public. To sweeten the pot, we'll be giving away a fleet of newly launched ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablets, powered by the quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 mobile processor, via our Facebook page. To help you keep track of NVIDIA at CES, here's a quick rundown of our planned activities: Press Conference NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang kicks off NVIDIA's annual press conference. Booths You'll find the main NVIDIA booth in the South Hall, LVCC. Just look for booth #31431 under the big "NVIDIA" banner. The NVIDIA automotive booth will be located outdoors, in the Central Plaza. Look for Booth #CP24 – it's the big NVIDIA tent. Products You'll have a chance to experience the best that GeForce and 3D Vision offer in two high-end racing simulators, built by VRX and outfitted with NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 and 3D LightBoost technologies. Demo pods peppered throughout the booth will show off new GeForce and 3D Vision laptops. We'll also have a Tesla Model S at the main booth to showcase Tesla's NVIDIA-powered infotainment system, as well as a demos of advanced driver assistance systems, including "360 Surround View" technology. And don't forget to check out our Windows on ARM preview. Our Central Plaza booth is dedicated to NVIDIA Automotive technology. The Audi A7 and a recently unveiled supercar will be on hand to demonstrate NVIDIA-powered infotainment systems. We can't say much about the supercar demo, but we can tell you that there aren't too many of these exotic rubber-burners in the U.S. – so be sure to check it out! Panel Our very own Michael Rayfield will lead a technology panel on "Tablets: Where Do We Go From Here?" focused on the future of tablet computing. Contest One Transformer Prime will be given away every day during CES 2012. Keep an eye on the NVIDIA Facebook page here for instructions on how to enter the contest. News |
