NVIDIA Fellow David Kirk Takes a Seat on the GTC Live Chat Series

Posted: 19 Jul 2010 10:00 AM PDT

The GPU Technology Conference (GTC), the place to learn about the amazing work the GPU enables, is only a short 10 weeks away. This means your chance to meet the top researchers, developers, scientists and entrepreneurs from around the world is right around the corner.

To give you a preview of the hottest and most-talked about topics at GTC, the GTC Live Chat Series is hosting high profile GPU technology personalities, answering your questions in real time. Last week Ian Buck joined us, and on July 22 at 11:00am pdt we'll be featuring Dr. David Kirk, NVIDIA Fellow and former chief scientist.

David will be chatting about parallel programming and GPU architectures, where the GPU will be in 10 years, what needs to happen to make GPUs more general purpose and the very latest about parallel programming. He will also be available for questions about his new book co-authored with Dr. Wen-mei HwuProgramming Massively Parallel Processors: A Hands-on Approach – designed to teach students and professionals how to program within massively parallel environments.

If you missed our first chat with Ian Buck, you can check it out here. He received so many great questions from participants that he published a follow-up with more responses, here.

Join us here July 22 at 11 am PT to chat with David Kirk.
